Biography

Claire is a fourth-year PhD student in Comparative Literature whose work focuses on literatures of the Americas, in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, from the nineteenth century onward.  Raised in Colorado and Nebraska, she studied Spanish and philosophy as an undergrad at Creighton University, lived in Ecuador as a Fulbright recipient, and holds a Master’s in Spanish Literature from Yale University. Claire’s scholarly interests include the Latin American Boom, Cold War cultural diplomacy, and modern versions of the pastoral—to name just a few.
